Project Highlights

03 — The Challenge

Introducing Moro Peanuts required a visually engaging commercial that could showcase the product's distinctive ingredients within just ten seconds. The key challenge was balancing explosive, fast-paced motion with clear product storytelling. The layers of nougat, peanuts, caramel, and chocolate needed to remain recognizable and appetizing, while the animation maintained its energy and visual impact.

04 — The Creative Idea

Developed by the Moro marketing team, the concept transforms the product's ingredients into an energetic CGI experience. Explosive ingredient reveals, flying peanuts, flowing caramel, and smooth chocolate coating create a visual journey built around the bar's distinctive layers. Electric accents and a bold purple environment reinforce Moro's recognizable identity, leading to a final product reveal.

Art Direction

Bold purple environments, electric accents, rich caramel tones, and glossy chocolate surfaces establish the film's high-energy visual identity.

Contrasting textures and close-up compositions emphasize the product's ingredients, while expressive movement and dramatic transitions create a playful, dynamic CGI experience.

05 — From Concept to Creation

Working from the approved visual brief, the production involved choreographing the product and ingredient animations in Blender and developing detailed caramel and chocolate simulations in Houdini.

Particular attention was given to the chocolate coating sequence, where fluid behavior, timing, and surface coverage needed to work together convincingly.

The animation and simulation effects were refined to preserve product clarity while maintaining the pace and energy required for the commercial.

Execution & Technical Approach

My role focused on animating the complete commercial, including product movement, ingredient motion, explosion effects, and fluid simulations. One of the most technically demanding elements was the chocolate coating sequence. Achieving convincing fluid behavior as the chocolate flowed over the bar required extensive refinement to its movement, thickness, and coverage. Blender was used for the main animation workflow, while Houdini was used to develop the caramel and chocolate simulations. The final animation balances energetic motion, realistic material behavior, and carefully timed product reveals within a ten-second format.

06 — The Final Work

Deliverables

10-second CGI commercial Landscape version — 16:9 Portrait version — 9:16 Production scope included full commercial animation, product and ingredient motion, explosion effects, and caramel and chocolate simulations.

07 — Outcome & Credits

Outcome & Feedback

The completed CGI commercial received client approval and was published on Moro Egypt's official social media channel. The final film delivered an energetic product presentation featuring detailed ingredient animation and technically demanding fluid effects.
